HPACE stands for Harvard AUSCR Program for American-Chinese Exchange. It is the same program as US Programs, only rebranded. For more information, please explore the other HPACE webpages.
Yes, the tuition is $300, and the application processing fee is $50. Please note that admissions are need-blind. We will offer financial assistance if need is proven.
Unfortunately, Graduate and high school students are not eligible for this student exchange program. This program is designed only for undergraduate college students in China.
Unfortunately, no. Only students who are enrolled in an undergraduate program in a Chinese university are eligible for this program.
Yes, you are still eligible. We do not have an absolute requirement for English examinations for our application. However, please indicate your grades in your college English courses on the application as proof of your English abilities.
Yes, we have arranged for our student delegates to stay with Harvard students in their dorm rooms free of charge in order for them to fully experience the life at Harvard. Housing will be assigned by gender.
HAUSCR will only provide partial subsidy for meals on Harvard campus. Students will have a chance to explore and eat around Harvard Square and Boston but will be responsible for the expenses.
Unfortunately, HAUSCR will not be able to subsidize your transportation expenses at this time. However, you might be able to apply for grants and other financial assistance from your university.
Yes, the student will be responsible for obtaining the passport and visa. However, HAUSCR will provide all the necessary documents and supporting material for accepted students.
Students must arrive and leave at the time that we suggested for the entirety of the program. If you have any special circumstances, please contact us via email (usprograms@hauscr.org).
Yes, you can still apply. However, we will expect you to get a passport as soon as possible once you are accepted to the program.
