Business Pioneer Case Challenge (BPC)

THE FIRST REAL BUSINESS CASE YOUNG ANALYST CHALLENGE FOR CHINESE HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS IN COLLABORATION WITH THE OFFICIAL CONTENT OF HARVARD BUSINESS PUBLISHING.

  • In 2021, Harvard Business School and Harvard Business Publishing Education, which carries the copyright of all 50,000+ teaching content in different forms of carriers, started cooperation in the field of middle school education in China for the first time in its history.

  • One of the most influential projects exclusively authorized is the BPC Youth Business Case Analysis Challenge. The BPC Youth Business Case Analysis Challenge allows students to study business management, economics, and strategic thinking.

  • Afterwards, students will collaborate with other teams to roleplay as a company’s C-suite and give a deliverable to a board of directors. This case challenge is open to all students interested in business and economics.

Student Business Pioneer (SBP) is a heavy research program, consisting of three weeks of online learning and a four-day in-person/hybrid session at the Harvard Center in Shanghai.

Participants are selected from students of HSYLC to participate in business simulations, case teaching classrooms, meet industry leaders, and complete an open-ended case study challenge that is highly relevant to the business world.

Students will then convert their learning into an in-depth strategy analysis of a “HBS Case” Team Challenge based on a real Harvard Business School case.

There are four types of programming included in SBP’s teachings:

  • Step-by-step introductions to important business concepts like industry analysis

  • Masterclasses designed to inspire and taught by leading experts and scholars in a number of fields including technological innovation, global policies of sustainability, the building of domestic brands, consulting, and finance to help develop pre-professional skills

  • Business skill workshops on how to write convincing papers and the analysis of successful business reports, and

  • Harvard Business Publishing simulations
